Incident Summary
Quik! services experienced an outage due to an issue with our database storage. A particularly large number of transactions temporarily exceeded the available storage capacity, leading to a disruption in database operations. While our automated storage scaling feature responded to increase capacity, it was not fast enough based on our threshold to have enough of a buffer before the database stopped receiving connections. As a result, the database required a brief recovery period to ensure data integrity and restore normal operations.
Resolution
Our team quickly identified the issue and took the necessary steps to bring services back online. Once the database completed its recovery process, all Quik! services were fully restored.
